Igloo is excited to announce our new Visiting Artist Program! Starting in 2016 Igloo will offer space, time, equipment and letterpress expertise to both local and national artists!  Looking to make a letterpress or book project, and want to become a member of our enthusiastic community? Book a Press

Are you interested in creating on our presses? Great! We love when they are being used to make beautiful things. Please contact us at to book a time on our Vandercook #4, Vandercook Universal, or Pilot press. 


We are a production facility, so contact us about the hours our presses are available.
General studio hours are 9-4 Tuesday - Saturday.

Pre-requisites for renting our presses:

  • Taking Intro to Letterpress
  • Taking Advanced Letterpress (or private instruction equivalent)


Press Rental
$100 each for the first 3 hours, includes staff supervision of renter during set up and clean up. 
$30 each additional independent work hour.
$10 Ink and California Wash (reasonable use)
Paper (pricing varies)

Cutting Equipment
$25 training
$10 each half hour

* Our first concern is for the safety of you and our equipment.  Igloo staff reserve the right to end rental.

Rental of equipment does not equal space rental.  Igloo staff and other renters may be working at the same time.  Please let us know if you will be bringing an assistant during your equipment rental.

Are you interested in getting your hands dirty? Do you love type? Do you believe that print is not dead!? You may be the perfect fit in our sweet studio!

We are always looking for passionate people interested in getting their hands dirty and learning more about the wide world of letterpress printing. No previous experience is necessary, but expect to work hard and fast, and enjoy surrounding yourself with awesome people and incredible machines. You must be very familiar with the alphabet. :)

In exchange for your hard work, you will receive an in-depth education in the history of letterpress, what it means to keep this beautiful art form alive, and how to create and implement successful designs for this amazing medium. 

Positions Available: Marketing, Typesetting , Graphic Design and/or Illustration, Studio Management.
