October 14 9:30-noon
Are more and more of your clients requesting letterpress business cards, or wanting to see some examples of stationery or marketing materials using letterpress "texture" and "saltiness?" We'd love to show you how we create those pieces and how to get the most out of a deep impression starting with your computer designs.
You will learn how different ink colors, line weights, and floods appear when in print and on different types of papers. We'll teach you how to set up files for letterpress plates, design pieces that will offer the greatest impression when printed on certain presses and paper, and how many of our 7 presses work. We will also show you how to set up a project using wood or lead type to get in touch with the foundation of graphic design.
No prerequisites necessary, although it is important that you have a working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and/or inDesign.
Class switches or cancellations must be requested at least 48 hours before the class time. No refunds or reschedules will be issued for no-shows. If the class is canceled by Igloo Letterpress, registrants will be given a chance to reschedule to a different date or request a full refund.
