book and Paper arts

Printmaking and bookbinding are an amazing and useful introduction to the world of art, craft, and creativity that is rooted in a familiar and accessible starting place for students. Our knowledgeable and organized staff offer a mix of direct instruction and individual creative expression and will guide students through a step-by-step process resulting in their very own project.

a few notes

We will give each group a tour of our print studio, and a brief introduction to the history of printing, our presses, and our process. We can welcome classes or groups of up to 45 people, but we ask that there is one adult present for every 10 students. Chaperones play a vital role in assisting students and are not charged admission.

Choose Your Project

While projects require specific abilities, our studios are accessible to all. Please let us know about special needs when registering and we can help you choose an appropriate project for your group.

Each workshop is planned so that students successfully complete the project at our studio. Please plan additional time with your group in your classroom after the workshop to complete writing or other activities.
